Install steps, fixes for the things that go wrong most often, and a real person at the end of an email.
Installing
- Open the ApplyOnce listing on the Chrome Web Store — the Get ApplyOnce button below takes you there.
- Choose Add to Chrome, then Add extension.
- Open any LinkedIn job page. The Applied and Referred controls appear next to LinkedIn’s own Apply button.
There is no account to create and nothing to configure.
Troubleshooting
The buttons don’t appear on a job page
Reload the page once after installing — tabs opened before the install do not have the extension running in them. If it still does not appear, check that ApplyOnce is enabled at chrome://extensions.
Statuses vanished
ApplyOnce stores everything in your browser’s local storage, so anything that clears site data clears it too: “Clear browsing data” with cookies and site data selected, a different Chrome profile, or an Incognito window. A different device is also a fresh start, because nothing syncs to a server.
A listing shows the wrong status
Reposted jobs are sometimes given a new ID by LinkedIn, which makes them a genuinely new posting as far as any tracker can tell. If you are seeing something else, send us the job URL and we will look.
It stopped working after a LinkedIn update
This is the one that will happen occasionally — LinkedIn changes its page structure without notice. Email us and we will ship a fix; it is the kind of breakage we treat as urgent.
Removing it
Right-click the ApplyOnce icon in the Chrome toolbar and choose Remove from Chrome. Your stored statuses are deleted along with it. Nothing is left behind on our side, because nothing was ever on our side.
